Longwu 龙坞 is a tea-growing village area southwest of West Lake, less crowded than Longjing but equally scenic. Its hills are covered in terraced tea plantations, with forested ridges and a hidden reservoir at the centre of the most popular loop hike. Longwu is well-connected by metro and bus, making it accessible without a car despite its rural feel.

How to Get There

Metro + bus

Take metro Line 6 to Xiangshan Campus, Meiyuan 美院象山站 (Exit A), then transfer to bus 331 or 1407. Alight at Longwu Tea Village 龙坞茶村站. The journey takes approximately 50–60 minutes from central Hangzhou.

Taxi

A taxi from central Hangzhou to Longwu takes about 40–50 minutes. Show the driver 龙坞 or 何家村骑行公园. Fares are reasonable within the city area.

Weekend shuttle

On weekends and public holidays, a free Longwu micro-circulator bus (龙坞微公交环线 B 线) connects the tea village, temples, and trailheads within the area.
